Keeping busy

It's that time of year again. End of school means lots of live events at area ( and not so "area") colleges, and other schools. It also means end of year gifts for teachers, and of course plenty of retirements, which means gift caricatures. In addition to all that I'm keeping up with my own stuff and I'm about to send out my firsy batch of post cards to publishers in an attempt to get my work seen by the powers that be.Here's some of my newer pieces.

On a roll...

I've really been enjoying this burst of creative energy I've had lately. I can't wait to do the next piece, the next live event. I'm just really enjoying what I'm capable of doing now. Here's a bunch of my latest work. Enjoy.

Finally starting to be happy

After years of struggling with my art I've finally reached a point where I'm happy with the direction I'm going in. I'm getting the results I've hoped for and actually enjoying it a heck of allot more. I'm not completely there but I feel like I'm finally pointed in the right direction. Here's some of my latest pieces, they finally show what I really want to achieve. Let me know what you think.

Keeping busy

Here's a couple of my newer pieces. First Elton John. Great face, great expression, really tried stretching that face.And for The Young Frankenstein, that was just a labour of love, I've sketched this a bunch of times and now I've finished one, really like the end result.

Still plugging along

Some of my more latest works. I had a request to try Bruno Mars so here goes that and from the new movie The Hunger Games, Katniss Everdeen.

Kings of Comedy

My tribute to some of the masters of laughs. I wanted to create that oldtime movie feel so I stuck with the black and white theme. Just looking at this one makes me smile.

This is a little better

Okay two postings in one week. It's a miracle. Actually it's just my way of getting off my butt and putting myself out there. My goal for 2012 is to get something published somewhere.  Nothing too major, just the next step.
